As soon as Loki touches Thor, he immediately startles. Pain, deeper than any he's felt when his brother stabbed him races through him. With every beat of his heart, he can feel it, as if his entire body is pulsing in tandem with it.
The embarrassment is almost as pressing as the pain; he'd been so confident that he could handle anything that came at them, but the moment he stumbled into trouble, he was knocked down almost immediately.
It's that embarrassment that forces Thor to slowly pull himself back to his feet.
