That style of knock, Loki recognized, and for all his earlier considerations regarding Thor's tendency to break doors when he wasn't paying attention and thus the wisdom of opening doors from a distance, he physically crossed the room and opened the door. If Thor was knocking with his head and slurring even a little, he'd already partly addressed the drinks portion himself, and it was possible he'd just fall in if the door opened without someone to catch him.
It hadn't been uncommon, on the occasions when Thor had decided being drunk together was the Thing To Do for whatever Thor reason he had, for him to give himself a head start. Loki had always thought it unusually considerate: he couldn't keep up from a dead-sober start. This head start was certainly more along the lines of liquid courage, but the memory of old times was pleasant enough.
"I can tell it's you," he said, just for the sake of speaking, as he opened the door. "I put a watch on the door."
