Look. I’d lost everything I relied on, tried to get some back and failed, then was ‘saved’ from a perfectly good suicide attempt. Said savior ‘suggested’ that I burn Earth to ashes and rule the ashes. He offered to make that possible if in return I handed one little part of it (just one rock) over to him.

I had no desire to experience what happens to those who turn down his generosity, and in any case the idea of ruining something so very precious to Thor was an attractive one.

So I agreed. Off I went! And, as mentioned, in the same circumstances I would absolutely do it again.

I think I have a better picture of what happened now even though I don't really understand it.

I don’t see the point of regret. It’s just wishful thinking. ‘I wish I hadn’t blah blah blah, if I could go back in time blah blah.’ I made my choices. If could go back in time nothing would change, because my options would all be the same.
